As a direct report to the Associate Dean for Administration, this position identified as the Scholarship Awarding Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the scholarship awarding processes for the Eberly College of Science Offices for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Programs, and Diversity & Inclusion. The Scholarship Awarding Coordinator will work closely with personnel responsible for scholarship awarding in the Dean’s units, the seven college departments, the Stewardship Office, the Millennium Scholars Program, and the Schreyer Honors College. The Scholarship Awarding Coordinator will provide designated personnel in the college units and departments with available scholarship spending balances and student eligibility lists for awarding consideration. Additionally, this position will post the awards in eSteward and create and disburse notification letters to awardees. As needed, the Scholarship Awarding Coordinator will monitor the academic records of undergraduate scholarship recipients to determine eligibility for scholarship renewals; assist the college and department scholarship awarding committees by providing information and policy guidance related to committee activities; ensure that eSteward processes for scholarship selection are followed; and assist with any questions or concerns expressed by committee members. The coordinator may assist personnel in the Stewardship Office with eSteward training for personnel in units and departments as needed. This position is also responsible for monitoring the account balances of college and department scholarships and, when needed, request spending plans. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience with Excel and LionPATH are desired but not required. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, organizational, and interpersonal skills; be attentive to detail; have the ability to handle multiple priorities/deadlines; and be able to exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. The selected applicant must have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Knowledge and experience with eSteward is required.
