Description

The College of Nursing is seeking an experienced team-player to serve as a Research Project Manager for Program Evaluation and Research on a U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime funded project entitled, “Pennsylvania Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Teleforensic (SAFE-T) Center.” This essential position requires an exceptional individual who can provide project management oversight of efforts related to program evaluation and clinical research. This individual will work closely with the principal investigator, as well as numerous members of the SAFE-T Team. The Research Project Manager will work with co-investigators to coordinate the delivery of a comprehensive evaluation of the SAFE-T Center program. Additionally, this person will organize team efforts surrounding clinical research needs at project pilot sites. This includes developing and nurturing relationships with project partners, managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) and National Institute of Justice (NIJ) research protocol submissions and modifications, supporting data collection efforts, coordinating development of database or data capture program, and providing summaries and reports to support grant-funding requirements. This position may assist with administrative duties such as event planning, grant proposal writing, and expense reporting, to support team effort and to contribute to overall program success. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing, strong organizational skills, and proven record of success as a member of a professional team are desirable. The SAFE-T Center is seeking an individual who is dedicated to high quality work, can independently assess project needs, and who is proactive in finding solutions and achieving program results. The successful candidate must maintain a high level of professionalism and ability to meet specific deadlines and demonstrate the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
