Description

The Visual Analytics Department within the Communications, Information and Navigation Office (CINO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is looking for a junior to mid-level Software Developer to assume a technical role that provides collaboration with other ARL personnel and sponsors, while providing on-site support to a government facility in Key West, Florida. Responsibilities will include: software development; system integration; operation and maintenance of systems; data integration; technical task execution; and reporting. Experience in the following is required: developing and integrating software applications on different hardware platforms from concept to execution. Experience in the following is preferred: SCI systems and Java programming language. This job will be filled as a level 1, level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (Professional Engineer license accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree) or higher , or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Science and Technology is highly desired. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
