Description

The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics has an immediate opening for an Assistant Research Professor. The successful applicant will work with Professor Rebekah Dawson on hierarchical modeling of exoplanet populations; will work on data from the TESS Mission; and will work with Prof. Suvrath Mahadevan on target selection, validation and confirmation of TESS candidates using high contrast adaptive optics, precision photometry, and high-resolution spectroscopy. A Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics is required in addition to a minimum of 2 years post-Ph.D. experience. Candidates should also have experience with observations and reductions of adaptive optics and high contrast imaging.
