Penn State Outreach and Online Education is seeking a Market Research Analyst with a demonstrated ability to design and conduct market research studies using appropriate methodologies. The successful candidate must have a strong analytical background with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of data to develop insights and formulate recommendations. Candidates should be able to communicate with stakeholders to identify needs and share insights, plan and execute market research, and communicate and visualize research findings through reports and presentations. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The position requires the ability to work independently to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with advanced analysis tools in Microsoft Excel and statistical software, such as SPSS, SAS, R, etc., and experience using relational database tools such as Microsoft Access or SQL are strongly preferred. Due to the responsibilities and expectations of this position, education verification will be required in addition to a standard background check. We seek candidates who are able to demonstrate experience and ability to advance Outreach's diversity initiative. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
