The Department of Education Policy Studies in the College of Education has a need for Adjunct (part-time) Assistant Teaching Professors in Higher Education. Because many courses are offered online through World Campus, Adjunct Professors do not need to reside near a Penn State campus. The positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than 9 students may necessitate cancellation of the class and position. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and online course materials approved by the Higher Education program to teach courses offered online in the Higher Education M.Ed. program and Graduate Certificate in Institutional Research. Required qualifications include evidence of an earned doctoral degree in Education or a related field. Preferred qualifications include evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching including use of current technology, commensurate with experience; evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience, experience in the field of educational administration where applicable. Salary is competitive.
