Description

The Student Garden at Penn State Beaver is offering paid opportunities for current Penn State students interested in working and learning in our all-season growing venture! Student gardeners are the ambassadors to the gardens. Essential roles include ensuring safety, produce quality, and a fun work environment are maintained among co-workers, volunteers, and community members. Student gardeners will learn about and manage farm production, harvesting, marketing, community engagement, produce donations, volunteer management, event planning, and more. Previous experience in relevant fields is welcome, but not as necessary as the motivation to learn and contribute to a positive work environment. Pay is $10.00 per hour. Positions typically are for one semester at a time. Fall and spring work is approximately 12-15 hours per week. Work is primarily outdoors, with some computer-based work including record keeping and blog writing.
