Description

Penn State Scranton invites applications for a faculty position, Assistant Professor of Business, (Tenure-Track, 36 weeks) to begin August 2020, or as negotiated. Teach three courses (9 credits) each semester of lower- and upper-division undergraduate courses in business administration, management and/or marketing using traditional and online delivery methods. This position entails teaching both for Penn State’s World Campus BSBIC Program and the Penn State Scranton’s Business Program, delivering half the annual workload (9 credits) online to the World Campus and half face-to-face, hybrid or online to Penn State Scranton. Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening, and/or Saturday classes as needed. Courses may include business professional skills, consumer behavior, leadership, management concepts, negotiation skills, principles of marketing, and project management. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Publish in refereed journals and present at the appropriate professional conferences. Advise students and provide career guidance. Participate in campus, University, and community service activities. Engage in activities to stay current in the discipline. Ph.D. in management (or associated field) or in marketing. ABDs completing doctorate by Summer 2020 will be considered.
