Description

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking an Assistant Director of Applied Health and Performance Science. This position will provide support for Penn State Athletics 31 varsity sports by assisting in the development of student athlete performance, health, and well-being through communication, collaboration between departments, integration of monitoring and decision-making systems, and high-performance education for best practices in sport performance. Responsibilities also include managing day to day operations as pertaining to the implementation of technology systems, Sport Performance Lab screening, and testing in high performance initiatives. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in all areas of sport performance, long term athlete development, physical and mental development of student athletes, and basic technical tactical understandings of team and individual sports at the University level is required.
