The College of the Liberal Arts, Office of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies is seeking an energetic, flexible, customer-focused Administrative Support Assistant. This position provides primary administrative support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies. The successful candidate will have a broad variety of responsibilities including serving as the first point of contact for visitors, scheduling and maintaining the Associate Dean’s calendar, coordinating staff meetings and agendas, arranging travel, managing financial transactions for the office, processing mail and phone communications, and ordering office supplies. This position will also support the administrative work of the Administrative Operations Coordinator, provide supplemental support to other team members, and will coordinate a variety of college activities, including providing support for the College's undergraduate admissions and recruitment events. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with word processing and data management (Microsoft Office) software highly desirable. Requires ability to communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and faculty in person, by telephone, and in writing. The candidate must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse populations and a willingness to learn complex information. Confidentiality and multi-tasking skills are a necessity. Attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team environment are essential.
