We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Consultant (HR Generalist) to support several Penn State campuses in the Southeastern region of Pennsylvania including Abington, Brandywine and Great Valley. For full consideration, candidates must complete an employment application and upload a cover letter and resume. The incumbent will be based at the Great Valley campus full-time; however, there is an expectation for continuous remote HR support to the Abington and Brandywine campuses as well as travel to these locations, as needed, for team member vacation coverage and during peak transactional periods, e.g., start of each semester. This position will support employees at all three campus locations and assist with transactional activities in partnership with our HR Shared Services Center. The incumbent will also serve as an onboarding partner for the campuses. This position will coordinate a wide variety of human resources activities across multiple human resource functions including: employee/labor relations, equal opportunity, organizational development, talent management and acquisition, diversity initiatives, total rewards, compliance monitoring, and records management. In addition, the HR Consultant will provide guidance and advice to Campus Leadership on a HR-related issues and policies and procedures; initiate and/or respond to inquiries such as performance concerns, analyze data and prepare reports, etc. This position, reporting to the Regional Human Resources Strategic Partner, operates with discretion within established guidelines. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Office experience required, and previous familiarity with an HRIS, such as Workday, is a plus. The successful incumbent must possess an outstanding customer service orientation, a commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity, an aptitude for finding technology-driven approaches to ongoing work processes as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Since this position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of the job duties, a valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required, in addition to standard background checks.
