Description

The Penn State Alumni Association is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Alumni Operations. Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Operations, the Assistant Director will be a leader in the maturity and adoption of project management methodologies at the Alumni Association. The Assistant Director will lead cross-functional project teams through the project lifecycle for critical projects; communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues; participate in strategic discussions with executive stakeholders; and make data-driven recommendations around the improvement of systems, processes and technologies to support project management. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred. Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, CSM, etc., are also a plus. Familiarity with a PMIS and experience managing complex projects and facilitating cross-functional teams are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine appreciation for working with diverse audiences.
