The College of Health and Human Development is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Administrative Support Assistant who will thrive in a role that provides joint service and support to the Undergraduate Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator and the Office for Diversity and Inclusion. The successful candidate will capitalize upon their professional expertise as they work with the two units to facilitate the College’s undergraduate recruitment initiatives to attract and enroll prospective students and to implement the broad diversity, equity and inclusion goals. In addition to general office management and coordination, primary duties and responsibilities in supporting both units include, but are not limited to: providing event planning and execution; management of electronic and print communications; managing budget expenses, including coordination of travel/reimbursements; updating websites; supporting social media initiatives; creating and maintain various spreadsheets/databases; and facilitating communication with campus and external stakeholders. Candidates must demonstrate a personal commitment to diversity, inclusion and educational equity and a passion for working with students, faculty and staff in recruiting and engaging new students and families to the college. The successful applicant should be ready to work in a fast-paced, student-centered environment and be able to manage multiple tasks and projects. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A working knowledge of University-specific platforms such as Employment Reimbursement Systems (ERS), LionPath, Starfish, Campus Learning Management and 25Live is desirable. Computer experience with knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Slate, or other CRM system and familiarity with social media content management systems is preferred. Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and communication (oral and written) skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year with excellent possibility of re-funding.
