The Office of Strategic Communications and Community Engagement (SCCE) at Penn State Abington creates communications and forges relationships that enhance the reputation of the College and University throughout the region. Our primary strategies promote positive engagement with key internal and external audiences, uphold the University’s brand identity, advance Penn State’s high-quality academics, research, global reach, and student experience, and celebrate the diversity of the campus community. As an important strategic unit at a Penn State campus in the Philadelphia market, SCCE supports the campus goals by attracting talented students from the across the region and the world. The Digital Content Intern (DCI) will support SCCE marketing with the following digital responsibilities: fulfilling update requests for the campus website; fulfilling Campus TV Monitor system by managing Signage software with Photoshop,, Powerpoint; creating slides for the TV Monitor system; updating the events software in the University’s CollegeNet software by approving events, including titles, descriptions and related graphics; creating and modifying webforms as needed for public website and intranet; updating the interactive campus map software; editing videos; streaming live events to website; other marketing duties as needed. The IST Intern will learn how to run Google Analytics. Preferred Skills: basic HTML and CSS, Photoshop, video editing, proficient writing and verbal communication and knowledge of social media platforms.
