The Penn State Smeal Professional Graduate Programs office seeks candidates for the role of Admissions and Program Recruiting. This role will manage admissions travel and recruiting efforts for all resident professional graduate programs with a focus on multiple one-year Master’s programs. It will also include the Resident MBA, Executive MBA, as well as Online MBA, and other online programs. Duties include planning multiple on-campus recruiting events and information sessions throughout the year, as well as building and executing travel plans to other locations within the Commonwealth to support recruiting activities. Candidate must be comfortable following up on program information and interest requests with a wide range of prospective students about the portfolio of Smeal Professional Graduate Programs and communicating via email, phone, and in person. Frequent travel around the University Park Campus as well as to other Commonwealth locations will be required, as well as occasional evening and weekend travel and event support. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Penn State systems (GRADS, LionPATH) and of beneficial, as well as comfort learning new external systems. Necessary competencies include excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, with a strong desire to help prospective students find the right program for their goals, work through the application process and discuss program options. Requires working independently and collaboratively, and strong time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
