Description

Perform a variety of tasks to provide service for guests, such as carrying bags, checking out luggage, and handling requests for laundry and dry cleaning service. Drive guests’ cars to and from parking lot when requested. Hang garments for guests in bell closet and return garments when requested. Maintain an orderly bell closet. Perform minor cleaning of lobby area as needed. Maintain entranceway in a clean condition by sweeping debris, shoveling snow, etc. Drive guests to airport, bus station, around campus, etc. Maintain shuttle log. Make appointments with Fleet Services for vehicle maintenance. Transport packages, envelopes and mail among other buildings around campus. Transport mail between The Penn Stater and Nittany Lion Inn. Maintain mail delivery log. Carry mail bags of sorted mail between first and second floor of The Penn Stater. Job Requirements: Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and the carrying out of instructions; and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Up to and including 3 months of effective experience. Shift: Various Days Off: Various NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE AS A PART OF YOUR JOB DUTIES. A VALID DRIVER`S LICENSE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO STANDARD BACKGROUND CHECKS.
