Description

The Department of Statistics, at The Pennsylvania State University, invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position. Qualified candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field at the time of hire. The successful candidate will have evidence of excellence in teaching both resident and online classes, as demonstrated by student and peer evaluations, at levels ranging from introductory to upper-level undergraduate statistics courses as well as graduate-level statistics courses; the candidate will also have at least two years of experience with developing online course materials for statistics courses, and with taking a leadership role in coordinating multiple sections of a course taught by different instructors. The Eberly College of Science takes an active role in building a talented and inclusive workforce.
