The Prevention Research Center, College of Health and Human Development has an opening for a part time Phlebotomist/Data Collector. Must be a certified/licensed Phlebotomist with experience. This part time position will work with teenagers and their families in our Altoona clinic completing blood draws and collecting other bio specimens (urine, stool, saliva, hair and toenails). In this position you would also be aliquoting and processing samples according to our project protocol. Additional research tasks, like administering standardized assessments and conducting participant interviews, may be assigned as needed. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with people from various backgrounds, be comfortable using computers, and possess strong organizations skills. Phlebotomists/Data Collectors will need to follow detailed research procedures and be flexible in handling unforeseen circumstances at the clinic. This part-time position, up to 20 hours per week, requires evening and alternating weekend availability. Training and work will begin October 2019. Employment will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies and all necessary State clearances for child abuse.
