Penn State World Campus and Penn State Outreach is seeking an experienced Marketing Analytics Manager to provide support and analysis of website properties and marketing efforts. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing Analytics and Market Research, this person will lead a talented team of marketing analysts and work with a talented team of market research analysts, web strategists, marketing strategists, web developers, and CRM specialists. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a balanced combination of business acumen and analytical talent and with proven experience in marketing analytics. The successful candidate will have experience in the following: marketing analytics technologies and processes, the mechanics of website and marketing campaign tracking and optimization, leveraging data to improve website and campaign performance and inform marketing decision making, clearly and concisely communicating across multiple audiences and stakeholder groups, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to: defining, documenting, and enhancing marketing measurement plans, managing marketing data collection and standardization, working with stakeholders to establish key metrics, KPIs, and targets for each conversion type, conversion analysis, creating dashboards and reporting based on business needs, and managing analysis of marketing optimization efforts and behavior data. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. To be successful, this role requires the proven ability to work with clients to understand needs, translate those needs into analyses and the ability to plan and deliver meaningful data products to clients in an efficient and useful format. As with any role that works with data, the ability to develop clear and comprehensive documentation, focus on data quality, and use quality assurance best practices are critical. Specific hands-on advanced experience with Google Analytics is required. Experience with Tag Management tools (such as Google Tag Manager), Google BigQuery, CRM, usability testing and A/B testing analysis and interpretation is a big plus. Understanding relational databases and data analytics tools and experience with SQL, R, and/or Python, as well as experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Data Studio are also desirable skills. Supervisory and management experience is strongly preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibillity of re-funding.
