Description
The School of Music at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Student Teaching Coordinator effective January 2020. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the placement of student-teachers within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, observing student-teachers in the field, running student teaching seminar, assigning supervisors from a pool of faculty and graduate students, teaching first-year seminar and possible instruction in the candidate’s specialization. A Master’s Degree or its academic equivalent is required. Candidates must have five years of successful music teaching experience at the K-12 level, experience working with school administrators, and a valid driver’s license. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain connections with music educators throughout the commonwealth and have a commitment to music teacher education.
