Description

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is seeking a dynamic, student centered professional for the position of Senior Assistant Director. Reporting to the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, this position will provide leadership in the area of co-curricular development and assessment for the fraternity and sorority community comprised of five governing councils, over 70 chapters, and over 6,000 affiliated students. The Senior Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life will be responsible for the development, review, and delivery of educational content for members of the fraternity and sorority community. In addition to the development, review, and delivery of educational content, the position will also regularly assess program efficacy and track chapter progress in meeting engagement expectations. This position will work closely with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Compliance for staff training and educational content development. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in higher education or student development is preferred. Candidates must have strong knowledge of educational program development and facilitation, risk management, leadership development, mediation, and conflict resolution skills and experience, as well as familiarity with contemporary needs of NIC, NPC, NAPA, NALFO, NPHC, NMGC, and PFA affiliate organizations. The successful candidate must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from a broad range of programs and disciplines and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. The Senior Assistant Director must have experience in presenting to internal and external consistencies. Must be willing to work frequent nights and weekends as required. This is a fixed-term position with excellent possibility of refunding.
