The Penn State Office of Student Aid is seeking a Senior Coordinator to work with the Director and Assistant Director, University Scholarships and Special Programs Team in the fund management and awarding of Office of Student Aid (OSA)-managed University endowments. This includes (but is not limited to) fund management and resolution of eSteward automated action items; monitoring and tracking of campus-based and central University funds; oversight of awarding staff daily workload to ensure funds are spent timely; management of cancellation of aid processes for central University and OSA-managed endowments; oversight of all financial aid tasks related to newly created endowed scholarships; maintenance of a collaborative working relationship with the Undergraduate Education stewardship coordinator to manage the thank you note process; oversight of the application and awarding processes for high profile donors; preparation of annual reports for high profile donors; and attendance at donor events as required. As a member of the Office of Student Aid staff, responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all federal, state, and University student aid regulations, policies, and procedures, and contributing to the analysis of these regulations. Also responsible for providing excellent customer service to students and their families, regarding student financial aid. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the use of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or similar, student information systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is desired. The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine appreciation for working with diverse audiences and capacity to support a working environment that respects differences in culture, age, gender, race, ethnicity, physical ability, sexual orientation, and religious affiliation.
