Student Services Manager (Director of Student Affairs)

Penn State Berks is seeking a Director of Student Affairs who will be responsible for leadership of the College's student life programs, including residence life, intercollegiate athletics (NCAA Division III, club sports and intramural), health and counseling services, and the support of all special student populations including, but not limited to multicultural, veterans, international, commuters, and LGBTQA+. The Director will collaborate with all units of the college to ensure that a vibrant, educationally purposeful, co-curricular experience is offered and that quality services are provided to ensure student success and retention. Penn State Berks is a four-year college of Pennsylvania State University with 2,700 students offering 25 four- and two-year degrees that can be completed at the college, and the first two years of 160 Penn State baccalaureate degrees. This job will be filled as a level 4, or level 5, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher (Doctorate preferred) or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 4. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: knowledge and leadership experience in the above or related areas of responsibility; ability to manage multiple work units; excellent judgment, organizational, and supervisory skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; an outstanding customer service orientation; and a commitment to fostering diversity and student engagement.
