Description

The College of the Liberal Arts Financial Office is seeking a Financial Assistant to perform pay and effort functions for part-time academic (formerly FT2) appointments and prepare and submit payroll transfers. Gather, compile, and process employee and non-employee travel reimbursements through the Employee Reimbursement System (ERS); assist and resolve department questions on ERS, verify all related financial/visa documents for domestic and international travel; process electronic documents utilizing the PSU financial system (IBIS) and direct bill charges ensuring compliance on all college levels; audit purchasing card transactions; act as Area Security Representative for the College (ASR), monitor faculty information in the State Mandated Collection System (SMCS) and balance the College INTLA scholarship and awards account monthly; and process documentation for Petty Cash reimbursement, purchase supplies for the Financial Office, maintain pre-numbered receipt log and serve as the main point of contact for the Financial Office. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. IBIS experience preferred. Knowledge of University policies and procedures, and experience with ERS, Excel, IBIS, and FIT is also preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential. This position requires strict confidentiality and the ability to manage a large volume of time sensitive work. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, and a shared vision for team goals are required.
