The Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center invites applications for a Project Manager 1 to assist the Principal Investigator with project management of a research grant funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This four-year study will test relationships among older adults’ perceptions of daily memory functioning and memory decline in several daily diary datasets. The successful candidate will assist with organizing and coordinating the project including tracking project progress, assisting with data acquisition, and documenting datasets and analyses. Other responsibilities include: coordinating communications across the research team regarding project-related tasks; supervising graduate and undergraduate research assistants; maintaining internal procedures and quality control; and, assisting with team, University, and funding agency project reports. The successful candidate must have excellent written communication skills, be detail oriented, work well independently as well as a member of a collaborative team, and have excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated project management skills including establishing and maintaining project timelines, delegating and supervising tasks across team members, and developing internal procedures to support project success are expected. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree in the social, behavioral, health, or physical sciences is strongly preferred. Experience with manuscript and/or grant writing, reference management, and general lab management preferred. Qualified individuals will have excellent computer skills and demonstrated success in research project management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
