The College of Arts and Architecture‘s Information Technology team seeks an experienced, motivated, and versatile IT professional to lead its User Experience group. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who can fill several IT roles competently, as needed. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Administration and IT, responsibilities include: providing high-level customer service to end users, managing projects, supervising staff and student interns, planning hardware/software lifecycle management, and ensuring smooth operation and deployment of user accounts and services. The coordination with central IT services, and classroom/studio equipment management, is required, as is coordination of end-user training on standard software and university policies. This position will ensure that continuous quality improvement initiatives are appropriately implemented and carried out. Business process analyst skills, and/or experience as a research concierge, would be a strong plus. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills are preferred. Qualifications include IT service management experience and excellent customer service skills. A high level of interpersonal, communication, and documentations skills are required, as is experience supporting Windows and Mac computers as well as mobile devices. Candidates should have intermediate knowledge of backup and disaster recovery technologies, network administration, information security best practices, software deployment methods and systems, and digital signage systems.
