Description

Responsible to Pl for preparation, analysis, recording, interpretation and reporting of diagnostic test results utilizing standardized procedures; operate laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometer, centrifuge, balances, microscope and automated hematology, chemistry and histology equipment including a Cobas Mira chemistry analyzer, Element HTS hematology analyzer, Drichem 400 chemistry analyzer and a Tissue Tek VIP 5 tissue processor; responsible for preparation of various reagents, buffers and media for laboratory testing procedures; perform complex laboratory tests and analysis; assist in the instruction of medical and graduate students, research technologists and Pis; assist in literature searches; and assist in implementation of new testing protocols and procedures. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Technology or Veterinary Technology degree preferred.
