Penn State University Libraries at Penn State Altoona is accepting applications for an Information Resources and Services Supervisor/Manager to join the staff of their library. This position serves as the Public Services Coordinator managing and providing assessment for public services relating to circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan, library technology, acquisitions and general public services in the Altoona library. Major responsibilities include: providing leadership, supervising and hiring staff; coordinating circulation operations and compiling statistics for reporting; creating, maintaining, and updating the circulation desk schedule and services; providing staff support in the areas of project management; contributes to policy and staff development recommendations, and serves as the onboarding partner for human resources. The person in this role works collaboratively with University Libraries and Penn State Altoona departments; represents the library in University Libraries and Penn State Altoona committees and activities, and supports multiple library projects as well as special initiatives. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday. Days/hours are subject to change according to departmental needs (e.g. library hours, over intersession, breaks, and holiday periods).
