Description

The Department of Chemical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University has an opening for a Postdoctoral researcher position in the area of membranes for bioprocessing as part of the research group led by Andrew Zydney, Bayard D. Kunkle Chair. The Postdoc will be responsible for studying the sterile filtration behavior of glycoconjugate vaccines as part of a collaboration with a leading biopharmaceutical company. The research will involve the use of confocal microscopy to visualize the location of fluorescently-labeled glycoconjugates within the pore structure of different sterile filters. The postdoc will be involved in the preparation of bi-weekly progress reports, data analysis, conference presentations, and technical manuscripts. A Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering along with experience in membrane systems and confocal microscopy is required. Applicants should provide a cover letter and CV.
