Description

The University Libraries Business Office invites applications for a motivated team player with a customer service focus to join our Accounts Payable staff. This position will primarily be responsible for providing accounts payable services on behalf of the University Libraries faculty and staff at all locations across the Commonwealth, including procuring equipment, supplies, and collections materials. Responsible for processing various types of payments and assisting with budgetary monitoring. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to evaluating and processing orders for assigned budgets in accordance with University and Library policy and procedures, confirming receipt of goods/services, and processing accurate and timely payment using various methods. Customer service is a key component in the responsibilities of this position as the individual in this position works with internal and external customers and vendors. The individual in this position works closely with the Libraries budget administrators/assistants to ensure availability of funds, solve problems, and comply with University Retention Policy. The Business Office operates from 8 AM to 5 PM M-F. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with IBIS, eBuy+, software purchasing protocols, and Excel, preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and flourish in a team environment. Candidates must possess excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
