The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a Financial Coordinator to be responsible for providing financial support for a high-volume department. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not limited to: review and approve Employee Reimbursement System (ERS) reports, IBIS expense documents, Purchase Order’s (PO’s), and resolve issues as needed. Monitor budgets for overdrafts, end dates, assure compliance with grant requirements and restrictions, as well as preparing budgets for closing. Provide customer service, advise faculty and staff regarding spending account balances including explanations of policy and procedure. Compile data as directed and prepare financial reports as needed. Mange and oversee wage payroll processing. Oversee the user facility located in Steidle Building to include preparing/reviewing charge out rates, billing and reporting. Serve as Financial Manager in his/her absence, approve financial and human resource forms for administrative area in a financial role (delegate or proxy) as needed. Serve as backup to the department financial assistant. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with IBIS, ERS, FIT, iTwo, and Workday, is desired.
