Description

Peer mentors for PSU 1 have the exciting opportunity to help first semester students acclimate to life in college. As a peer mentor you would assist the class instructor by working together during class sessions, possibly helping with class planning, and/or reviewing assignments. You will receive $200 in compensation for the semester, as well as receive 1 credit as part of enrollment in CNED 200, an online counselor education course through which you will receive peer mentor training and work as a cohort sharing your experiences and questions with other peer mentors. Your total expected time commitment would be three hours per week. There will be a mandatory meeting at which you will receive preliminary training as well as an orientation to the course as well as meet your class instructor.
