Description

The Smeal College of Business Office of Professional Graduate Programs is seeking candidates for the job of Education Program Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, this position is responsible for providing exceptional student service and support in both curricular and co-curricular arenas, leading to high overall student satisfaction. This individual will assist in the development, planning and evaluation of program student-focused activities including pre-arrival, orientation, leadership immersion, pre-commencement, and student association events, in addition to other programs and activities. This position supports the full-time Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Management and Organizational Leadership(MOL) programs and will assist in the development and management of student-focused programming and activities for additional professional graduate programs as our portfolio of programs continues to evolve. This individual manages student records, course scheduling, designing and maintaining online student communities, developing content for enhancing student collaboration and experiences, and collecting and managing course evaluations. The individual in this role will also manage student inquiries and help resolve student issues by collaborating with other offices when needed. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Required competencies include: exceptional customer service skills, outstanding organizational, strong verbal and written communication skills, event planning and project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, ability to work with diverse audiences, and ability to work both independently and with a team. Knowledge of University processes and Penn State systems including LionPATH, CollegeNET/25Live, SRTEs, Salesforce, Canvas, O365, Calendaring, and Listserv Management is preferred.
