Description

Penn State Extension is looking for a conscientious and detail-oriented individual to be a part of the financial team supporting administrators, faculty, county-based educators, and staff. Primary responsibilities include review requested financial transactions for applicability, appropriateness, and funds availability; initiate expenditure documents (SRFC, IDCC, eBuy, etc.) with heavy concentration of travel reimbursement and reconciliation through the Employee Reimbursement System (ERS); post and process accounts receivable; assist with the reconciliation of University purchasing card transactions. The individual in this position will work with others to support the budget infrastructure for Extension; process requests in a timely and accurate manner; advise on matters related to financial transactions, procedures, policies, and process improvement; research and resolve problems; maintain electronic and hard copy file systems. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with ERS and IBIS financial systems preferred. Excellent organization and communication (oral and written) skills are required. Attention to detail is essential.
