The Penn State Center Pittsburgh is seeking a Part-Time CITY Program Assistant to support the Community Innovation Training for Youth (CITY) program during the 2019-2020 school year. The CITY program is an after-school program that works with at-risk high school students, using STEAM education, academic support, and mentoring to help students develop the skills that they will need in order to be successful both in and out of the classroom. Through their time in the CITY program, students explore a variety of post-secondary education and career options, including pursuing a bachelor`s or associate`s degree, enrolling in a technical school, exploring an entrepreneurial endeavor, or apprenticing with one of the more than 30 skilled trade unions in the Pittsburgh region. Working 12-16 hours per week, you will work under the direction of the CITY Program Manager to support the planing and implementation of the CITY program. This position will support CITY activities on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (and the occasional Saturday), assisting in the delivery of educational programs.
