Student Affairs is seeking a student to assist in managing the Penn State Student Affairs social media accounts (@StudentLifePSU). Responsibilities will include researching social media best practices, gathering photos and video for social posts, creating and scheduling social posts, reviewing analytics, and helping to develop social goals and strategy. Some of the job duties may include, crafting social media messages, attending events to take photos or video for posts, creating graphics, developing ideas for social media campaigns, scheduling posts, and adhering to a social media calendar. Experience in Hootsuite is preferred. Applicants should have experience working with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for a club or other organization or during a previous internship experience. The candidate will be expected to work closely with Student Affairs staff. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with social networking sites, experience with writing and digital analytics is a plus. The applicant must be dependable, outgoing, self-motivated, organized, and demonstrate attention to detail. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. This is a 10-15 hours per week position.
