Description

The LDMO Admissions Lead will lead support for admissions functionality in Campus Solutions (LionPATH). The role will be responsible for supervising LionPATH team efforts and working with users from Undergraduate, Graduate, Medical, Law and other admissions-related areas. This position will report to the LDMO Director. The Team Lead will lead and provide guidance to the business analysts that support the Admissions functionality within the Penn State student system, LionPATH. Activities will include, but may not be limited to: Analyzing/diagnosing issues; writing functional specifications for new functions and changes; working closely with customers to gather functional requirements and recommend solutions; configuring system to perform as desired; testing development objects; testing vendor-delivered upgrades; maintaining documentation of configuration and business process changes; writing and assisting customers in writing PS queries; supporting training initiatives; communicating across the LDMO and with customer offices. Preferred requirements include: The ability to establish credibility at all levels within the organization and build problem-solving partnerships with the multiple clients and colleagues is important; knowledge of Penn State admissions processes; knowledge of SQL and relational databases; good understanding of the software development lifecycle. Minimum requirements include: Demonstrated proficiency in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Admissions functionality and configuration; strong analyzing/diagnosing abilities; excellent verbal and written communications skills; must have ability to deal with complex concepts and details; demonstrated leadership in a prior position; ability to coordinate and collaborate across various groups with differing types and levels of admissions needs. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
