Description

Penn State Greater Allegheny is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions. This position plays a significant role in supporting the mission and enrollment goals of Penn State Greater Allegheny. Utilizing best practices, sound professional judgement and strategy development, the assistant director will lead recruitment efforts in an assigned recruitment territory, oversee the planning and execution of top priority on-campus recruitment events, and co-advise the Penn State Greater Allegheny Lion Ambassador tour guide organization. This individual will provide leadership to the entire enrollment management office in support of day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. Significant planning, data analysis, event organization and facilitation of overall enrollment management operations and recruitment marketing required. Includes direct recruitment via high school visits, college fairs and one-on-one meetings, both within the service area as well as out-of-state. Evening and weekend work should be expected. Evaluation of credentials and determination of admissions decisions expected. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with others and sustain relationships across departments, campuses, and throughout the community. Ability to speak Spanish fluently is preferred. A strong commitment to diversity, ethical decision making and a respect for others expected. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position involves contact with minors and the following clearances will need to be completed and submitted prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. A valid driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will also be required.
