Description

Penn State Extension is looking for a part time wage Videographer/Editor for developing instructional and promotional video resources for the State 4-H Unit. This individual will be responsible for filming and developing promotional and instructional videos for the 4-H youth development unit, will work with various social media platforms, and will create training/resource videos for staff and volunteers that could be utilized by broader audiences. For assigned programs or events, the videographer is expected to take the necessary digital movie footage of 4-H programming, edit video footage to create short films with closed captioning for future digital outreach utilization, and deliver completed video(s) to the State 4-H program. Candidates must have experience including one or more of these skill sets: videography, experience editing with Adobe Premiere, closed captioning and applicable computer skills. Individuals should be punctual, creative, dynamic, and know how to use Adobe Premier editing software or have skills in other software to produce quality videos under time-sensitive deadlines. Essential requirements: demonstrated competencies with youth development pedagogical practices, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and learn on-the-job. Reliability and flexible schedule (including weekend hours and evenings) are essential. Applicant will need to provide a portfolio and sample videos that they have developed. Hours will vary according to the production needs and will not exceed 20 hours per week. This is a one-year position. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Child Abuse, PA Criminal, and FBI Clearances must be obtained prior to the first day of work. The Videographer and Developer will be responsible to the Assistant Director of Programs, 4-H Youth Development.
