Description

This part-time position will primarily serve as administrative support to the adviser for the IES (International Education of Students): Barcelona semester abroad program that is run through Penn State’s Education Abroad Office in Global Programs. Over 200 students participate in this program each spring, and this position will be responsible for responding to their general questions as they prepare to go abroad and are on their program in the spring. Duties will include responding to student emails and phone calls, meeting with students for general advising, and supporting pre-departure events, such as group advising and visa processing. This position will require 8-10 hours per week and will be supervised by the Education Abroad Adviser for Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. The successful candidate will have strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred. This position is only open to students who are currently enrolled and have previously participated in the IES: Barcelona semester abroad program through Penn State.
