The Department of Kinesiology seeks a highly motivated, detail oriented, and focused individual for an administrative staff support position to work as part of the Undergraduate Student Services team in Kinesiology. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to the undergraduate program at large; the undergraduate Professor-in-Charge (PIC); and the Athletic Training Program and Movement Sciences and Applied Exercise and Health undergraduate options. The individual will also work closely with Kinesiology Academic Advising to provide efficient customer service to students and others. The individual hired will be responsible for accurately maintaining databases and records, preparing and distributing correspondence and reports, compiling materials, assisting with student registration, managing course scheduling and classroom assignments, and assisting with the administration of student internships and practicums. This position will likely supervise one full-time direct report. In coordination with the department head and graduate, undergraduate, and Kinesiology Physical Activity Progam(KPAP) PICs, this individual will be responsible for the development of the teaching work-load schedule of Kinesiology courses and instructor assignments. This position will serve as the departmental liaison with the Registrar’s office and other central offices to solve scheduling issues, classroom assignments, and other complex student problems. This individual may coordinate special projects with other academic services staff and, as directed, assist with training other staff, students, or wage payroll personnel. This position must maintain highly confidential student clearance records and track renewal/expiration dates necessary for school district assignments, as well as assist with the development of new processes or procedures relevant to the support needs of the office. This position will report to the department’s Administrative Support Coordinator. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Familiarity with LionPATH, Core Substitution Request System(CSRS), Curriculum Review Consultation System(CRCS), eSteward, Qualtrics, CollegeNet/25-Live, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
