Description

Penn State’s Foundation Relations office, within the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, seeks job candidates interested in playing an integral role in one of the most respected and successful fundraising operations in the country and contributing to the land-grant mission and future strength of Penn State. The Administrative Support Assistant will conduct administrative work of moderate difficulty in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to support Foundation Relations, whose Development Officers frequently interact with donors. This position will support fundraising professionals by: documenting and processing gift deposits, notifying departments of donations; routing and tracking forms for signature; proofreading and editing written materials. Additional duties will include: greeting visitors, answering/screening telephone calls; maintaining calendars; responding to/or referring routine requests; coordinating travel arrangements, as well as expense reimbursement processing and monitoring budgets. This position will perform data entry and work with databases, including AWA, SIMS, and Foundation Directory. This position will assist with the administration, coordination and tracking of limited submissions to foundations using InfoReady. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong history of organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills is preferred. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and ability to become proficient with Division of Development and Alumni Relations information systems and databases are also key factors to success. The successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills and demonstrate a genuine appreciation of working with diverse audiences.
