Description

The Assistant to the Financial Officer will be responsible for the financial operations of the Berks Campus, including cash management, budget and account maintenance, and payroll processing. Monitors unit budgets to ensure adequate funds. Approves supplemental payroll, check requests, travel and other payment documents for the campus. Acts as the Financial Officer in his/her absence, approving forms and ensuring that internal controls are followed. Manages entries into the labor distribution system for the campus. Oversees the student account function; coordinates with Financial Aid and Registrar’s Office to resolve student account issues. Provides telephone, email and counter service to students and parents, including the resolution of any issues or concerns they might have when the bursar staff is not available. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
