Description

The Department of Kinesiology seeks a detail – oriented and organized full-time Administrative Support Assistant 3. The primary responsibilities of this position include event and seminar coordination, assisting with Kinesiology faculty activities at the commonwealth campuses, financial duties, and other duties as assigned. Specific activities include the following: coordinate department colloquia, seminars, lectures, and other events; provide staff support to departmental committees; provide administrative support for Kinesiology Commonwealth Campus Advisory Committee including organizing and taking minutes for monthly teleconferences and faculty wide meetings held at University Park each fall and spring semester; create ERS reports for allocating expenses and reimbursements to visitors and employees for travel and group meals; assist with purchasing card reconciliations; provide back-up support to other staff as needed; and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are preferred. Experience with Box, ERS, IBIS, Excel, Adobe Creative Cloud, Zoom, eBuy, and other Penn State systems is highly desirable. Applicants should possess a high level of integrity and discretion required in safeguarding confidential data; excellent communication and customer service skills including effective personal and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to work well both independently and in a team environment; and proven strong administrative, organizational, prioritization and time management skills. Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to learn new skills are critical.
