The Development Office Support Assistant is responsible for maintaining donor databases utilizing Microsoft Excel and Access programs, processing deposits and preparing expense reports, making travel arrangements and scheduling appointments for Director of Development, initiating and managing processes for donor stewardship, and managing development related events. Responsibilities also include serving as the campus stewardship coordinator, liaison to the campus advisory board, as well as the development committee, and serving on other campus committees as needed. In addition, this role provides administrative office support to the Director of Campus Development and Alumni Coordinator (i.e., typing of correspondence, filing, answering calls, copying, etc.). This is a full-time position with benefits working 40 hours per week which could include some evening and weekend hours. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates degree or higher as well as experience with Lotus Notes and AWA software preferred. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, superior organization skills with strong attention to details and strong computer skills. Applicants must be customer service oriented, maintain the confidentiality of donor information, and work well independently and in teams. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
