The Morgan Academic Center at The Pennsylvania State University is accepting applications for the position of Academic Support Assistant (ASA). This position, designed to provide an opportunity for a post-baccalaureate individual to gain experience in the field of academic support for student-athletes, is a twelve-month commitment with an opportunity for renewal. This position is limited to a maximum of (25) hours per week, which includes regular daytime, evening, and weekend hours.Responsibilities include assisting academic support staff with monitoring individual student-athlete academic progress and attendance, facilitating the study hall program, serving as a teaching assistant for the student-athlete first-year seminar course, and assisting full-time academic support staff with other duties as needed. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or above, demonstrate strong communication skills, organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a Division I athletic-academic support environment is preferred, as well as, an interest in pursuing graduate level studies.
