Description

The Sustainable Food Systems Program seeks an assistant food systems coordinator to support educational activities, community outreach and on-farm production. The assistant coordinator, under supervision of the Sustainable Food Systems Program Director, will support student learning on the farm and in the community through students’ courses, internships, independent studies and Student Farm Club membership. The coordinator will facilitate student learning, while working alongside students on the farm and in community settings, assist in development of new programming to support experiential learning, track and document relevant programmatic metrics and data, and perform other related duties as necessary. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as past of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the standard background checks. Also, you must be certified to drive a 15-passenger van. Highly organized, self-directed and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, able to work in outdoor conditions that include heat, cold and rain, able to lift 50 pounds.
