Description

Seeking qualified candidate to support research programs related to qualitative and mixed methods research and end-of-life communication. Time will be split between two programs under the supervision of a single principal investigator. The first program will take place in an intensive care unit setting under the direction of the principal investigator. Duties will include coordinating a research project, attending daily rounds in the intensive care units, recruiting/consenting of research participants, collecting data via phone interviews with study participants and/or helping participant’s complete written questionnaires. Data entry and management using REDCap (training provided) and Excel databases. Distributing/mailing gift cards to participants who complete research projects. Preparing and maintaining project documentation including HSPO documents. Electronic and paper file management. The second program will involve assisting with the launch and implementation of a qualitative and mixed methods research core infrastructure. Duties will include assisting with qualitative data collection (interviewing, running focus groups, transcription, etc.). Assisting with quantitative data collection (surveys, etc.). Assisting with distributing and promoting resources available from the core Working with stakeholders and advisory board members to coordinate meetings. Assisting with managing and distributing consultation requests. Working in collaborative teams on qualitative and mixed methods research covering a wide variety of topics. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess professional and personable communication skills, both verbally and in writing. The person must also have the ability to work independently and as a team member. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's degree preferred) or higher plus ten years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some clinical experience required. Qualitative research experience preferred This is a fixed term appointment funded one year from the date of hire with the possibility of re-funding.
