The Research Informatics and Publishing department at Penn State University Libraries are seeking several library student assistants for the University Park campus. Successful employees will provide technical support for the digital lab including general desktop support, such as assistance to access specialized software; provide data archiving and curation support for research data, such as metadata remediation; collect statistics on the use of the Digital Lab; they will also assist with maintaining the digital lab scheduling. Additionally, students will support data cleaning, collection, and analysis projects as needed. Preference will be given to those who possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a sharp attention to detail. Positive attitude and the ability to work well with a team is required. Hours and wages for these positions will vary and will not exceed 20 hours per work week.
