Description

The College of Agricultural Sciences’ Finance Office/Administrative Services is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our team. The candidate will work closely with departmental administrative and college financial staff in the processing/approval of expenses and cost transfers for assigned departments as well as other functionality in current and future financial systems including Concur for Employee Reimbursement and Purchasing Card processing; work with assigned units to verify availability of funds to support all expenditures and to ensure University and external sponsor policies are followed. The Financial Coordinator will be responsible to review/approve on behalf of the Financial Officer (up to $10k) all financial documents in IBIS (SRFC, IDCC, ROCR, JVDP), Employee Reimbursement System (ERS) reports, purchase orders in eBuy+ for assigned units and serve as proxy for other departmental staff, Assistant Financial Officer and Financial Officer in their absence. The Financial Coordinator will work closely with the other Financial Coordinators as a team to accomplish goals, support the Financial Officer in troubleshooting unique and complex issues and situations that require knowledge of University policies and procedures, and coordinate with other administrative areas and central offices as required; train financial staff in the assigned units on the use of financial systems and Purchasing Card reconciliation. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the University’s financial and other related policies and procedures as well as experience with IBIS, ERS, eBuy, are preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 are desired. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and exhibit a high degree of professionalism and initiative. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Attention to detail and good judgement are vital requirements, as well as the ability to work within a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences.
